Technology Solutions Experts Inc. (TSE) is seeking a highly qualified individual to perform database engineering, systems engineering, and requirements analysis. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two active certifications from the “Required Certifications” list.

Job Duties: 
Design, create, maintain, and tune databases
Perform installation, upgrades, and patching of database software
Create the logical and physical models of data and define the tables, indexes, views, constraints, triggers, stored procedures, storage parameters, and other entities needed to store, retrieve, and delete persistent objects
Manage database user permissions and security
Conduct database performance monitoring and capacity planning
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and operational issues
Manage the storage environments associated with the databases, including managing optimal sizing, monitoring space, requesting additional storage, and providing growth statistics
Create and execute backup and recovery procedures, and maintain integrity and reliability
Formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management, and monitors transaction activity and utilization
Deliver on-call support for critical database applications as needed
Participate in the full systems life cycle, upholding responsibilities to design, install, deploy, upgrade, tune, and maintain databases and database systems
Collaborate with developers to create, modify, and support applications of moderate to high complexity
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
B.S. in computer science, information science, or related field
3+ years experience as database administrator or equivalent
Expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, LINUX, and Windows Server 2008 R2 administration
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques involved in information technology, with focus on database administration
U.S. citizenship required and must be able to obtain a U.S. government Secret clearance
Preferred Skills: 
Software development and programming knowledge
Knowledge of higher-level languages and enterprise class application development tools and technologies (examples: Oracle, SQL/PL*SQL, ETL, Visual Basic, .Net, Java, C++, XML, UNIX, and Windows Batch scripting)
