Network Engineer

Job Description: 

Technology Solutions Experts Inc. (TSE) is seeking a highly qualified individual to maintain computing environments by identifying network requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring network performance. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two active certifications from the "Required Certifications" list. The candidate will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and maintaining firewalls, networks and network equipment, and servers in an enterprise environment. Additionally, the candidate will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the customer’s systems operation and make recommendations for implementation.

Job Duties: 
Upgrade, install, and troubleshoot networks, networking hardware devices (Juniper and Cisco), and software (IDS, filtering proxies, and Citrix)
Carry out duties for network firewall administration and support
Participate in the design and analysis of various networks
Recommend, schedule, and perform repairs to the LAN/WAN
Establish and maintain systems security, network backup, and disaster recovery procedures
Provide technical support and troubleshooting
Be available for on-call emergencies
Develop and document system standards for computer and network devices
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
Requirements: 
B.S. in Information Technology or related field
5+ years experience working in an IT environment in a network administration role
Able to follow work plans and deliver tasks according to aggressive deadlines
Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques involved in information technology, with a focus on network administration
Network firewall support and administration, including disaster recovery
Multi-vendor network equipment (hubs, switches, and routers)
Virtual Private Networks (VPN) and Bluecoat Product Suite
Army Host-Based Security System (HBSS) hardware and software
Remote access and Citrix server administration
U.S. citizenship required and must be able to obtain a U.S. government Secret clearance
Preferred Skills: 
Experience within a DoD network infrastructure
Army Information Assurance Training and certifications
Experience implementing Information Assurance Vulnerability Management
