Integrated Database for Engineering Anthropometry of Soldiers (IDEAS)
TSE custom designed and developed the Integrated Database for Engineering Anthropometry of Soldiers (IDEAS) to meet the needs of the Anthropometry Team at the U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, Development, and Engineering Center (NSRDEC). IDEAS is a web-accessible scan management system used to organize large quantities of 3D Soldier full-body scan files and associated measurement and demographic data. Our team configured all hardware and software and installed it on NSRDEC’s network with the Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP). TSE designed IDEAS for the Anthropometry Team to track measurements and dimensions of large populations of soldiers to design better-fitting equipment and clothing.
